I have found at least 12 apps to give you the Oculus Rift/Samsung Galaxy VR experience at an affordable price (see album). Headsets designed for VR apps include: Google Cardboard, Cmoar, Vrizzmo, Homido, Fibrum, Colorcross, DODOcase and Durovis Dive. If your phone features a gyroscope, the app will also support head tracking so you can look around your 3D world. The lenses merges the two side by side images in the app to make one 3D image. You mount a special headset housing two lenses and place your smartphone inside the headset once you launched the VR app. VR apps are very popular on Android and iOS but it has always been lacking on Windows Phone.
